Description: A square podfic cover with a luminous multicoloured background. Against it is an illustration of two men in black silhouette walking in the rain, one holding an umbrella. They are surrounded by text and raindrops. The title is overlaid across them in white, and the credits are scrawled on the background near bottom left.

Notes:
I have a particular fondness for this cover and this podfic (both of which were met by a more or less resounding silence), even more so now that the author has left fandom possibly forever. I wanted to capture the mood of the piece, which is dreamy, poetic, wrapped around water (holy water) and words as a concept (letters exchanged through the ages), and threaded through with an aching longing. I'm not sure how exactly I found this illustration, but it was perfect—I mean, conceptually! I spent hours editing it, deleting elements (the dog), searching and tracing a screencap of Michael Sheen to overlay on the head of the man on the left, and altering the silhouettes of both to better match Sheen and Tennant. Then I tore apart the overlay of text in the illustration, and replaced it with quotations from the story. I'm a sucker for a rainbow background anyway, but it was an obvious choice for "phantasmagoria". Finally, I altered the distressed bounding box to a square and clipped the whole thing back together.
